Ingredients:
For the Chicken Patties:
- 1 lb (450 g) ground chicken
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
For Assembling the Hamburgers:
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Onion slices
- Pickles
- Cheese slices (optional)
- Ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, or other preferred sauces
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chicken Patties:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, and oregano. Mix until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
- Cook the Patties:
- Heat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly grease it with a bit of oil to prevent sticking.
- Cook the chicken patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). If using a grill, you can also grill the patties for a smoky flavor.
- Assemble the Hamburgers:
- Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the skillet or grill for extra crispiness.
- Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a chicken patty.
- Add a slice of cheese on top of the hot patty if desired, allowing it to melt slightly.
- Top with tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, and any other desired toppings.
- Spread your favorite sauces on the top half of the bun and place it on top of the assembled hamburger.
- Serve:
- Serve the chicken hamburgers immediately with your choice of sides like fries, salad, or coleslaw.
Enjoy your homemade chicken hamburgers!
