Ingredients:

For the Chicken Patties:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

For Assembling the Hamburgers:

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Onion slices
  • Pickles
  • Cheese slices (optional)
  • Ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, or other preferred sauces

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chicken Patties:
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, parsley, salt, pepper, paprika, cumin, and oregano. Mix until well combined.
  • Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each into a patty. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to prevent it from puffing up during cooking.
  1. Cook the Patties:
  • Heat a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Lightly grease it with a bit of oil to prevent sticking.
  • Cook the chicken patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C). If using a grill, you can also grill the patties for a smoky flavor.
  1. Assemble the Hamburgers:
  • Toast the hamburger buns lightly on the skillet or grill for extra crispiness.
  • Place a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by a chicken patty.
  • Add a slice of cheese on top of the hot patty if desired, allowing it to melt slightly.
  • Top with tomato slices, onion slices, pickles, and any other desired toppings.
  • Spread your favorite sauces on the top half of the bun and place it on top of the assembled hamburger.
  1. Serve:
  • Serve the chicken hamburgers immediately with your choice of sides like fries, salad, or coleslaw.

Enjoy your homemade chicken hamburgers!
