Wok Sear Noodles

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz of fresh egg noodles
  • 1 tbsp of vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp of minced garlic
  • 1/2 cup of sliced onion
  • 1/2 cup of sliced bell peppers (red, green, or both)
  • 1/2 cup of sliced carrots
  • 1/2 cup of sliced cabbage
  • 1/4 cup of sliced scallions (green onions)
  • 1/4 cup of soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp of oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp of hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 tsp of sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp of ground black pepper
  • Optional: sliced chicken, beef, shrimp, or tofu

Instructions:

  1. Cook the fresh egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry for a few seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced onion, bell peppers, carrots, and cabbage. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
  5. If using meat or tofu, add it to the wok and cook until browned.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the noodles are heated through.
  7. Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and ground black pepper. Stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until the noodles are evenly coated with the sauce.
  8. Add the sliced scallions and stir-fry for another 30 seconds.
  9. Serve hot and enjoy!

Note: You can adjust the amount of sauce and seasonings to your taste. Also, feel free to add or substitute vegetables and protein according to your preference.
